'The Rushcutters ep' is out now! released 01/04/2007

The Rushcutters ep is available now. An acoustic based ep, 'Rushcutters' takes a less full-on approach compared to last years 'Dead Slow For Hell' album. Written in Europe early 2006 'Rushcutters' was recorded back home in NZ at DS4H music.

4 months of travelling through Europe was the inspiration for these 6 songs, which have also started the demo process for next years full-length album....more on this soon.

The ep was recorded during 2 months back in NZ, and made for a very tight schedule before heading back to Europe for summer. Stan Leboy turned up and layed down the beats and samples, and in his usual style he's gone AWOL once again.

'Dead Slow For Hell' released 11/01/2005

The follow up album to the 2004 release 'Eliminator' is out now on DS4H Music and Powertool Records.

Dead Slow For Hell is a darker, heavier follow on, grabbing your ears from start to finish.

8 songs weighing in at just over 24 minutes that take you on a flavoursome ride, no two sound the same but they all carry that 'Phonoss' feel that keeps the listener alert and wanting more.

Dead Slow For Hell is an interesting listen, written and recorded over 9 months between London and Auckland, the album definately carries flavours of the 2 hemispheres. Guest appearances by Daniel Gannaway and Wazman Ferrari with the legendary Stan Leboy taking care of drums, loops and samples.

Short, Sweet and worth more than one listen.

'Eliminator' released 01/12/2004

Phonoss is a side project that has seeped out of the depths of Stoner Rock, creating lo fi chunky raw textures with somewhat alt-folk tendencies.

Not one of the songs on the debut mini album 'Eliminator' sounds conventional in arrangement, but all possess great hooks.

In a recent review track 3 'Sour' was quoted as being the long player of the album and most conventional in form, bringing to mind Monster Magnet with its funeral dirge-like casio tone organ sound floating in the background.

Phonoss is an experiment with acoustic guitars, electronic dabbling's, and the hard driving low end that keeps stoner rock tied together so well.
